Wilshire 5000 over each other on a single chart, they all look very similar
Only the NASDAQ looks a little different because of it's short life and it
has been killed recently. To ignore and discount significant market declines
as an indicator of the health of the economy is one form of denial.

I believe that those in the mental health field would describe that laughter
as a "hangman's laugh", as they discuss it in reference to people who laugh
when confronted with grim matters. The prototype is one who approaches the
gallows while laughing.
To each his own. If you prefer to laugh when our national sovereignty is
compromised by dependency and symbiosis, be my quest.
