I take you mean by robust is the same as bandwidth saturation.
I believe a T1 is more stable than either cable or DSL due
to its maturity and number and level of expertise available.
DSL is not a theory going up to 8mbs. It is available today
from most ISPs in LA. Just visit verizon.net for more info.
Or pacbell.net or other DSL ISP.
Cable speeds depend entirely on the installed hardware
and protocols in use. Around the nation I know there are
at least 3 different combinations in use. There use to be 8.
Each gives different bandwidths in each direction.
DSL is the best of T1 and Cable combined, minus the stability
of the T1 though that I find is changing.
All this info is available online, and I feel no need to
convince anyone that my opinion is expert on this. The
FAQs have anything I would email you.
