i think this is the forum to post your concern, etc...

to answer your question, i have tried to block various ports in our 
cisco pix as well as other security system.  what it came down to was to 
put a network monitoring tool such as ntop, argus, and various sundry of 
tools to find out who's using it, and deleting the culprit apps. 
spyware tool was pretty successful in getting rid of these tools.  i 
don't recall if you mentioned that you were using AD or etc... packet 
filtering rule on a router/firewall has some deterrent, but since the 
packets our dynamically ported (excuse me for my verbage, i'm not good 
at explaining) meaning udp type that is not fixed, it'll take some time.

like i said, you need any assistance or could set a time for me to swing 
by, i'd be more than happy to help (no charge, i already have a job, and 
this is what i do for fun...  not married :))
