Jamming the network with that many workstations competing for the resources of
the DSL connection will stop it - guaranteed. You are overloading the DSL and
I do not know of any way to control the traffic or slow it down. DSL is not
really the gateway you need. A T1 line would handle the traffic a lot better.
The other option is to create subnets that are VPN's that have no connection
to the Internet thereby reducing the traffic. All computer resources have
their limits. Even if you could control the traffic flow, the performance
would not be much better. You have to eliminate some of the traffic or get
better resources.
