DSL can work really well with proper traffic shaping.  See the advanced
routing howto at ldp.org for CBQ stuff.  The script in the recipe
section is a great starting point for your traffic shaping.

The results of this process is nothing short of amazing.  Single
downloads don't swap the entire pipe anymore.  Lots of users can perform
wonderfully together.
