About the logic of why 70=150.
1st, it's easier to come down in price then go up.
2nd, if you run into trouble, it's easier to get help and not lose
money, and not have to charge more to the client
3rd, you might have come up with 70 based on hou many hours you are
expecting and a certain amount of prep timethat you expect you may do on
your own
4th, related to point 1, and 2, if some\thing takes longer than it
should, and this is your own conscience telling you, you can always
shave an hour or two of the bill and let the client know, they aren't
going to mind paying less but if you were to come across a real tough
problem and you know you solved it faster than I.T. Superman you can't
all of the sudden just charge more becauese someone else would have
taken longer...you detrmine this upfront
5th, since you said you are new you should start high, that way you'll
make more money and have some leverage when negotiating longer term
relationships with clients
One point about being backed by a company. I do believe it's true a
company can often charge twice what an individual can. In fact some
companies have a strict poicy not to pay more than a certain $/hour for
specific services when it is an individual billing them but if it's
another business doing the bill they will pay more.
