No need for passwords.  Have him email to you his ~/.ssh/id_dsa.pub and
you in turn put that in as ~/.ssh/authorized_keys for whatever user you
want him to be able to connect as.  Then he'll be prompted for whatever
password is built in to that key instead of the user he's connecting as.
MUCH simpler way to go.
