Boo, hiss, Gmail... read the privacy policy... the only
protection you get is for what you type, and nothing
of what I type or others is protected. Tricky policy
and I do not trust those who hide behind tricky wording.
I no longer trust Google, for any reason, unless I worked for them.
I believe "outsiders" have come in and "changed" the corporate culture
to vultures hanging out, looking for fresh kill... I'll no longer "help"
them, until they fix their Gmail privacy policy to not have
tricky wording, and to explicitly protect all email content
regardless of who wrote it, and explicitly include quoted text,
with statements to the effect that text is owned and copyright
by the original author (matching what the USA federal law states).
Yahoo groups and mailing lists suffered from a similar type
of tricky wording (not so tricky really) publishing policy.
Thus, I will not do "business" to/from a Gmail account.
There is nothing "private" about Gmail. My million dollar
contract negotiations could be undercut by Google...
Just like I do not do "business" with Windows EULA that
licenses my company data to Microsoft. My million dollar
contract negotiations could be undercut by Microsoft...
And I will not "post" to lists that I know there are Gmail subscribers.
LULA-biz as a business list was just "killed" by your Gmail confession, imo.
Yes, I can agree with you Matti, that LULA-Biz is dead,
until you unsub the Gmail account. :-(
