I've been doing "dogfood testing" of wine by using Windows Firefox
under Wine on Linux as my main web browser.
A couple weeks ago, it started bombing out with a BadAtom error
at random times.  Yesterday I got fed up, tracked it down
to a bug in the clipboard code in Wine, and fixed it.
(I whined and moaned a few times in public while doing it;
I always kind of hoped somebody else would jump in and
do it for me, I guess.)

I guess I mention this because:
a) it's a good example of why I'm running Windows Firefox in Wine --
it helped me find and fix a fatal bug in Wine that would have
bitten other apps sooner or later
b) I want to encourage other people to jump in and start
running the Windows version of their favorite apps on Linux
using Wine to help improve the taste of our dogfood
c) I'm a whore for attention :-)
d) I'm trying *really* hard not to think about politics tonight
