On the other hand, what are the odds that Microsoft, or any other 
software vendor, is going to produce a special "Oklahoma-only" edition 
of their software that does all this snooping and deleting, and sell 
everyone else the non-snooping version?  Pretty slim, I'd say.

Standing alone, I don't think this law is much of a threat.  But if it 
persuades other states to follow suit, and convinces people that it's 
generally okay for software companies to build in backdoors, then there 
will really be a problem.
