Codeweavers is currently working on getting Outlook running.
Have you seen the large number of patches fixing COM problems lately?
It looks like they're making pretty good progress.

I have great respect for projects like FreeDCE, and
would welcome any patches to Wine which use their services
to make Wine more complete.   See for instance the
Summer of Code project http://wiki.winehq.org/NtlmSigningAndSealing
which is using a Samba library to improve interoperability with Windows.
