EA's Los Angeles Studio has an exciting opportunity for a talented
Linux/Windows Network Professional. You'll be working in a fun,
fast-paced, team-oriented environment, alongside the people who worked
on the award-winning Command & Conquer franchise, The Lord of the Rings:
The Battle for Middle-earth, and the Medal Honor franchise.
Key Responsibilities:
* As a member of our Server Operations team, you will install, deploy,
and upgrade both Linux and Windows servers to support our existing
infrastructure. We are looking for someone who is comfortable working in
both environments, this is a must.
* Take primary responsibility for Linux administration, responsible for
the health of 25+ production Linux servers. (Red Hat Linux AS 3&4)
* Assist in design and development of our infrastructure
* Manage and automate recurring tasks.
* Setup, maintain and support SAN and NAS systems
* Setup, maintain and support Veritas software (NetBackup, Volume
Manager, Storage Foundation)
* Setup, maintain and support Microsoft Exchange 2003 servers
* Setup, maintain and support Microsoft SQL, Project and Sharepoint
servers
* Setup, maintain and support 200+ Windows servers in a fast paced, high
tech working environment
* Setup, maintain and support 500+ users, distribution lists and
security rules in a rapidly changing AD structure
* Setup, maintain and support a Cisco switch, IP Phone and WLAN
environment
Qualifications:
* BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent computer support
experience
* Linux Certification a plus preferred.
* MCSE Certified or equivalent experience.
* 5+ years of hands-on experience with server applications in a
Microsoft networked environment.
* Knowledge of Backup systems and DR methodologies
* High level of security awareness
* Project management and documentation skills.
* Demonstrated ability to be a team player and willingness to lend a
hand with any project.
* Must work well in a rapidly changing environment with high
expectations for execution.
* Detail oriented person with outstanding customer service and
interaction skills, as well as excellent verbal and written
communications skills.
* Ability to effectively present information to management and team
members.
* Self-motivated, pleasantly aggressive, high personal ethics.
* High level of expertise in the following areas:
- Excellent knowledge of server hardware and problem-solving skills.
- High level of expertise with Linux or other UNIX administration.
(Redhat a plus).
- High level of expertise with LAN administration.
- High level of expertise with SAN administration.
- Administrative scripting
- Windows 2000/2003 Server
- Active Directory management, DNS, DHCP, Trusted Domain, and Print
servers
- Exchange 2003, Exchange 2003 bridgehead servers
- Security management, including Group Policy Objects
- Understanding of TCP/IP communication between Windows servers and
clients
