[Lula] Old Distros - Use or Donate?

An early whiff of the existence of Linux led me to pick up several old
distros ('97&'98 Comdex) of Suse 5.3 and TurboLinux 3.0 and I'm not sure
why or how a boxed set of Red Hat 5.2 and Power Tools for Linux.

I also have an old PII dual processor 450 mhz PC with 512gb ram and some  
scavenged 20GB Raptor hdds.

Would there be any point in trying to build a file server or web server  
with this stuff?
Has Linux morphed sufficiently over the years so that working like this  
stuff would be like
using Win 3.1 instead of XP or whatever MS uses for servers today?

The PC works ok with XP. Or Ubuntu (I just haven't gotten around to trying  
FreeSpire). If the Software is obsolete is there anywhere that would  
appreciate a donation of same?
