Not exactly an answer to your question, but I use a Nokia 770
(http://nokia.com/770) and have it connect to my phone via bluetooth.  I
like this because it lets me "travel light" if I want, or take
everything in other cases.  The 770 runs Linux, and has a bunch of
applications available for it.  Unfortunately, someone ported FreeCiv to
it, so I have no more spare time :)
