Systems Administrator

We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and talented linux/unix systems
administrator, preferably with some windows experience, to work in a dynamic
environment at a private equity firm. The candidate must be happy working at a
command line. We are looking for experience in several of the following areas:

networking/network security
routing
iptables
tinydns/dnscache
dhcp
squid
ipsec
openvpn
Samba
cups
scripting (bash,perl etc)
mysql/postgres
qmail

The job is primarily systems administration within a small IT dept, which is
also responsible for PC support. This would be a minor part of the role but the
candidate must be willing to take on support tasks as needed in an enthusiastic
and professional manner. The candidate must also be able and willing to learn
new approaches and be able to adapt systems to new demands. A dedication to
data security and backup integrity is essential.

The candidate must have good communication skills and be able to work well
within a team. The job will also require some travel to remote offices, which
is shared within the dept. The job would pay $30-$40 per hour depending on
experience.
