Stamps.com is seeking a Jr. System Administrator to work in the company's
Data Center Operations (NOC) group during the night shift (10pm to 7am).
This position is primarily responsible for level one diagnosis,
troubleshooting, and escalation of network and/or system (Linux/Windows)
issues.

We are a very fast-paced environment with an abundance of interesting
challenges for a Jr. Systems Administrator.  We house a couple hundred
production, staging, and corporate systems, storage area networking, load
balancers, and more in an enterprise-class datacenter.

In addition to the attributes below, the successful candidate will be
analytic and highly organized, possess a meticulous attention to detail
and be comfortable working within strict operational boundaries and
procedures.

Required Skills:

*	Basic server OS administration concepts-, logging, troubleshooting,
etc.
*	Understanding of system/application and services.
*	Basic understanding of security, authentication, and networking
principles
*	Experience with Windows server platforms, IIS, AD
*	Ability to navigate a Unix/Linux system via command line to perform
basic tasks.
*	Demonstrates a sense of urgency and great perseverance when problems
arise.  Works well and with a "cool-head" under pressure.
*	Capable of working effectively and efficiently with little social
interaction and direct management oversight.
*	Capable of multi-tasking when needed yet committed to seeing
projects
through to completion.
*	Well developed understanding of basic networking concepts (OSI
network
layers, TCP/IP, router, switch).
*	Effective and precise verbal and written communication skills

Any level of experience with the following is a plus:

*	Basic understanding of data center operations and best practices
*	OS administration experience on Win2k/2k3/XP/Redhat/CentOS/Gentoo.
*	Cisco networking equipment
*	MS SQL Server
*	MySQL
*	Oracle
*	Apache
*	ATG
*	HP EVA
*	Postfix
*	Exchange
*	Nagios
