Hum!  Thanks and interesting.
Reading about the development of Vista I had decided not to spent time
in that direction but focus on Linux as a platform and then eventually
port to windows if an interpreter would be available to develop from
Linux.

http://wiki.winehq.org/Wine64 shows that 64 bit windows
apps do not yet run on linux, sorry.
