The company web site listed a USC prof as an advisor, so I emailed
the prof to ask if the company was reputable.  If the prof says
yes, then I guess I'll contact the speaker in spite of my misgivings.

BTW to give them a fair shake at good turnout it ought to have
a month's publicity, so we probably want to make them next month's
speaker at the soonest, and set something else up for this month.
